Narrative:
The Vickers Viking T-6 was owned by the Argentine Air Force but operated on flights on behalf of the military airline LADE. The airplane departed Buenos Aires on a flight to Ushuaia. The first technical stop on the route was planned at Bahía Blanca.
As the plane had enough fuel, the pilot decided to continue the flight to Comodoro Rivadavia. However, near Trelew the airplane ran into heavy fog. The pilot decided to return to Bahia Blanca, since Comodoro Rivadavia was also covered in fog. While returning to Bahía Blanca the crew became lost. The flight drifted over sea, causing the pilot to head west towards land. The airplane ran out of fuel and power on both engines was lost. A forced landing was carried out near the village of Juan A. Pradere, where the plane landed in a field covered with trees and bushes. One of the wings hit a tree and the airplane swung into the ground.
All aboard survived.
