A rebellious Air Force captain attempted to hijack the plane ;o Communist North Korea. In the struggle to commandeer the plane, he shot and killed one of the crew members.
One hijacker demanded to be taken to North Korea. The South Korean plane was stormed and the hijacker arrested. Duration of the hijacking: less than 1 day.
