National Airlines flight 97 was 50 miles south of Norfolk, Virginia, when a passenger brandished a .38 pistol. He hijacked the plane and demanded to be taken to Cuba. He also robbed several passengers.
After arriving at Havana, authorities forced him to return the stolen money and led him away.
