Descripción:
After departure at 16:00 from Mariánské Lázne Airport, hijackers demanded to be taken to Germany. Eight other hijackers attacked last 4 passengers using Coca-Cola bottles, to avoid resistance of a possible security guard on board. One of the hijackers shot the captain (52) in the head. The first officer (44) landed the aircraft safely at a local airfield near Weiden, near the Czech / German border. All ten hijackers were arrested in Germany. The killer died in the prison on 14 of January 1973. The rest of hijackers were sentenced to jail terms ranging from 3 - 7 years.
