Descripción:The Boeing was off course during an instrument approach to Florianopolis and struck a hill. The aircraft was flown by an inspector pilot on a training mission. A severe thunderstorm was active in the area.
PROBABLE CAUSES: Misjudged speed and distance, inadequate flight supervision, failure to initiate a go-around and improper operation of the engines.
