Unfallbericht:An uncontained no. 3 engine failure and fire forced the crew to return to the airport for an overweight emergency landing. The pilot, afraid that the aircraft couldn't be stopped on the runway, steered the Boeing off the side of the runway.
The aircraft was damaged beyond repair and withdrawn from use at Brussels.
