A plane carrying journalists to a World Cup match in Polokwane was been forced to make an emergency landing at Lanseria Airport. The aircraft took off from Lanseria Airport (HLA) but was forced to turn back after discovering a problem with its landing gear.
The Metroliner flew around for an hour to burn off excess fuel before carrying out a wheels up landing. None of the passengers or crew were hurt. While recovering the airplane, the hook of a crane smashed through the fuselage.
