Three landings and three near-landings on Seattle (SEA) taxiway T (parallel to runway 16R) since 1999 prompted the NTSB to make three safety recommendations. One to allow SEA to use large nonstandard taxiway identification markings and two recommendations regarding research to establish marking standards for use on taxiways at airports with a recurring taxiway landing problem.
