Takeoff at 20:20 LT for an operation to an oil refinery plant at Hannover.
Over Germany, hit by Flak of the 2./Reserve-Flak-Abteilung 521 and crashed.
The crew were all made POW's. Sqdn Ldr W H N Turner DFC mid/Fg Off A C Peach/Sgt D J R Wilson/Sgt D S Edmondson/AC2 G B Smith. Smith was sent Heydekrug POW Camp while the rest of the crew were sent to Sagan.
