Narrative:Republic F-84D-5-RE Thunderjet 48-740, 82nd FS, 78th FG, USAF: Written off (destroyed) April 29 1950 when crashed near Langley AFB, Hampton, Virginia. Accident attributed to structural failure of the airframe in flight. Pilot - 1st Lt Keith Calvin Stamper-Hawk, USAF - was killed
Keith Calvin Stamper-Hawk was born on 29 November 1916, in Atchison, Atchison, Kansas, United States, his father, John Manning Stamper, was 32 and his mother, Rubie Jenine Carter, was 30. He had at least 1 son with Mary Ellen Hayes. He lived in Alameda Judicial Township, Alameda, California, United States in 1940 and Novato, Marin, California, United States in 1950. He registered for military service in 1942. He died on 29 April 1950, in Hampton, Virginia, United States, at the age of 33, and was buried in San Bruno, San Mateo, California, United States.
