Narrative:The engine on this aircraft failed approximately 6 miles after takeoff. Pilot turned and tried to glide the aircraft back to cable airpot. The aircraft lost altitude and crashed approximately 1/4 mile from the Cable Airport runway. The aircraft struck a electrical power pole on the west side o Padua Road and sheared off the left wing, continued to the east side of Padua road and sheared off the right wing on a telephone pole and came to rest in a wash full of large boulder rocks.
