Narrative: Two people died in a fall of homemade ultralight aircraft without reg. Rans S-6 Coyote around 20:20 hours. The tragedy happened on a small sport airfield Zvekovac near Vrbovec two hundred meters from the runway, the plane exploded after falling to the ground and completely burnt. Another person on the ground was injured when the plane exploded. According to a rough translation into English of the official Accident report
"On 16 June 2011, the owner of the aircraft with two friends came to the airfield at Zvekovac near the village of Dubrava Vrbovečka with the intention of testing their aircraft, RANS S-6S Coyote II.
After a few minutes after the runway taxiing runway, the pilot set the aircraft on three quarters of the length of the runway and took off towards the southwest (lane 22). After takeoff goes the right academic circle. Exiting the second turn right circle of school years in the north-east towards the runway and the runway of a slight right turn at one point the plane turned around the longitudinal axis of the left, suddenly lost altitude and large-angle engine hit the ground.
On that occasion, the pilot and a passenger on the plane were killed. The investigation confirmed that the aircraft after turning around the longitudinal axis to the left side of this phenomenon 'dynamic stall' failed to recover due to low height and speed. Considering the misfortune of the 2003 accident with a similar outcome can be concluded that this type of aircraft at low altitude and low speed behaved statically unstable. The modifications on the aircraft were not in compliance with standards of manufacturers.
Agency for accident investigation in the air, maritime and rail transport has not issued a safety report"
