PROBABLE CAUSE:THE PILOT MISJUDGED THE AIRCRAFT HEIGHT ABOVE WATER WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON A LAKE. A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS THE SMOOTH, GLASSY WATER SURFACE CONDITIONS ON THE LAKE.
