Narrative:
Gloster Javelin XH911 ("J" of 5 Sqn, RAF) was written off (damaged beyond economic repair) on 3/9/1965 when an engine caught fire whilst starting up at RAF Geilenkirchen (GKE/ETNG), West Germany

Struck off charge as Cat.5(scrap) 7/10/1965 When 5 Squadron disbanded at Geilenkirchen (having been replaced by a "new" 5 Squadron at RAF Binbrook, Lincolnshire, which was equipped with BAC Lightning F.3s)
