HX865 - Engine cut stalled on approach and cartwheeled High Ercall 6.4.1944
Crashed on approach to the airfield (High Ercall), at 19.18 hrs. The trainee crew were approaching to land on one engine after the other had failed, when the pilot made a tight turn away from his good engine, causing the aircraft to stall, crash and cartwheel along the ground.
