Narrative:Upon landing, the aircraft, a Bellanca 17-30 Viking, N6564V, departed the runway and experienced a nose wheel collapse after striking the precision approach path indicator (PAPI) light system at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport - KMKC, Kansas City, Missouri, sustaining substantial damage to the fuselage and wing. No reported injuries to the pilot or instructor on board the aircraft.
