Narrative:
Stalled while orbiting a practice target at low level. XE621 dived into the ground at Papenburg, West Germany and exploded killing the pilot, Flight Lt C.B.Barnes. A newly built house was destroyed and a civilian was injured as he ran away when he was struck by flying debris

XE621 was the same aircraft that had previously been involved in a mid air collision with Hunter F6 XF525 on 07/06/1957 (see XF525). XE621 was forimally struck off charge as Cat.5(scrap) on 28/02/1962
