Narrative:The aircraft, a Pitts S1D, N360MW, performing aerobatics over the water, initiated a maneuver at too low an altitude to recover and plunged into the Gulf of Mexico off Port Richey, Florida.
The aircraft sustained substantial damage and the pilot was killed.
