Crew was performing an illegal flight with 600 kilos of cocaine on board. Accident occurred in unknown circumstances in the Olancho Province, Honduras. As the copilot was injured, the captain was killed in the crash. Aircraft was carrying a Colombian flag at the time of the accident, with a Brazilian registration. According to a rough translation into English of a contemporary newspaper report (see link #3 for the original text):

"FAC stopped plane with a ton of cocaine

Operation was carried out jointly between the Colombian Air Force, the United States and the Police of Honduras.

This operation resulted in the detection and immobilization of a twin-engine aircraft type PA-31, presumably at the service of drug trafficking, carrying a ton of cocaine.

The aircraft, with registration PT-OFH, was detected by the early warning of the Colombian Air Force, in the Caribbean Sea making a suspicious flight.

Once the aircraft was detected by the Colombian Air Force, alert was given to Honduran authorities, who located the aircraft with the information provided by the Institution, and managed to immobilize it, in accordance with the procedures established with that country as of June 2011.

At the time of landing, the aircraft hit the ground presenting a plane fracture and damage to its undercarriage. One crewman was killed and another was injured. The latter was made available to the Honduran authorities.

As a result of the Operation, the seizure of 33 boxes was obtained, with approximately one tonne of cocaine."
