NATO says one of its helicopters has crashed in eastern Afghanistan. It says no one was killed.
The helicopter made a hard landing in the eastern province of Logar late Monday night 27 August 2012. There were no initial reports of insurgent activity nearby.
There were no significant injuries to the five-soldier crew — four guardsmen from Nevada and one from Montana. They have returned to duty.
'The aircraft was heavily damaged, so the crew destroyed it before they were evacuated from the scene'.
