Narrative:Missing on mission to Gravenhorst. Took off from RAF Waddington at 1708 hrs to attack the Mittelland Kanal at Gravenhorst. Those who died lie in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery. Fg Off Costello had served with 49 Squadron and details of his award had appeared in the London Gazette on 15 October 1943. The last three named were all flying as air gunners.
