Mission to Nurnberg. took off from RAF Wickenby at 1706 hrs. Bombed the AP at 2129 hrs from 13,000 ft, after which the crew diverted to Junvincourt airfield, France. Apparently, no one was injured and the Squadron records are devoid of explanation as to why the Lancaster was written off. However, AM Form 78 states it received irreparable battle damage. *12 Squadron July 44-Lost 16/17 Mar 45 after 50 operations
