Following a loss of oil pressure shortly after takeoff from Mc Kellar-Sipes Regional Airport (KMKL), Jackson, Tennessee, the aircraft, a Cessna 172R Skyhawk, force landed to a field during an attempted return to the point of departure, sustaining substantial damage. The two occupants onboard the airplane were not injured.
Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) existed in the area at the time of the accident.
