Narrative:
The aircraft, a Tecnam P2002 Sierra, impacted airport terrain at the Hood Aerodrome (MRO/NZMS), in Masterton, and was consumed by the post-impact fire. The sole pilot onboard the microlight airplane received minor injuries.
