Narrative:Auster AOP.6 TW530: Prototype Auster AOP.6, first flown 1/5/45. Sole RAF service career was with 663 Squadron coded "Q".
Written off (damaged beyond repair) 19/6/56: Aircraft lost its propeller on take off from RAF St Athan, Glamorgan, South Wales. The aircraft force-landed into a field and hit a hedge one mile south of the airfield. No injuries reported to the crew of two, but the aircraft was deemed "beyond economic repair" and Struck off Charge as Cat.5(c) later in June 1956.
