Written off (destroyed) 21/01/1978 when crashed at Horwich, Bolton, Lancashire while on a flight from Barton, killing all three on board (pilot and two passengers). According to a contemporary TV news report (see item #2)

"Two men and a woman have been killed in a light plane crash at Horwich in Lancashire. The plane is believed to have taken off from Barton Airfield at Manchester. It crashed into a stone wall scattering wreckage across an adjoining road.

And per an eyewitness report:

"I saw it fly over my house in Great Lever, Bolton between 1 and 1.30 pm. It was so low, I could easily read its registration on the underside of its wings. I remember reading about the crash in the paper."

Registration G-ARGL belatedly cancelled by the CAA as "destroyed" 11.7.84
