Oxford V3769 of 1 Ferry Unit, RAF was written off (destroyed) when it crashed while was on approach to Pershore airfield, and whilst descending through cloud, struck the north west of Bredon Hill just above Woolas Hall, near Eckington, Worcestershire, on 13 January 1945. While conducting a GEE (Radar Guidance) exercise, the pilot lost control of the aircraft, and dove into the ground and crashed in a field. All three crew members were killed.
