This was the first production Lancaster, first flown on 31 Oct 41. Between 28 Oct 41 and late 1942, this aircraft served as a test vehicle, before being given up to 1654 HCU. Repair in works followed a flying accident in May 1943 and after a spell at 20 MU was accepted by 15 Sqdn on 3 Mar 44. It flew 353.15 hours.
