A/C WAS ON LOCAL TRAINING FLIGHT. SEVERAL WITNESSES IN AREA OBSERVED A.C FLYING SLOWLY ABOUT 500 FT AGL. NOSE SUDDENLY DROPPED & A/C DESCENDED VERTICALLY INTO GROUND.
