Narrative:
Operated in Middle East on UN charters. Missing on a flight from Beirut to Amman on 11.2.49. Search And Rescue operations were conducted, but eventually suspended a week later, as no trace of the aircraft nor the crew was found. Wreckage found near Hartoure, Jezzine, Lebanon 21.2.49. Walkers found the remaining wreckage of the aircraft in a snow covered area six weeks later, on 29.3.49, on the slopes of Roumaniye el Doub near the village of Haitoure, in the district of Jezzine, South Governorate (al-Janoub) Lebanon, when the snows had melted and uncovered the wreck.

Pilot G.E. Whitehead and radio operator E.C.S. Burden were killed in the crash. Registration cancelled 11.2.49 as "wrecked in Lebanon"
