Narrative:The helicopter dropped a load of 750 kg to a refuge located on the glacier at the head of the valley. The load was carried in a canvas bag attached to a sling. The bag gave way under the weight and the load fell. The pilot indicated that he then released the sling. He noted that the actions on the anti-torque rotor are ineffective and gained speed to maintain his flight to the aerodrome of Sallanches Mont Blanc.
