Narrative:
"Tom" on route Prague-Stockholm/Bromma, redirected due to bad weather. Passengers left the plane at Gothenburg and the plane continued to Stockholm/Bromma but crashed on approach in bad weather.
Seven former B-17, interned in Sweden was officialy lended by the US to the Swedish Crown (note: to the country/crown, NOT the elected goverment) intended to be used in the courier traffic during the war. The aircraft was converted to passenger plane by SAAB and used by ABA. All armament inc. turrets and armor was removed but not the tail gunners seat. A lookout was placed there because two civillian Swedish DC-3 had been shot down by Luftwaffe during the war.

Swedish registrations: 1944-03-06 forced landing at Rinkaby, reg 1945-01-05 Kungl. Maj:t och Kronan (HRM and the Crown), Stockholm (l/t 1944-05-06) and l/t AB Aerotransport/SILA, Stockholm. Cancelled 1948-10-04 as a total loss.
