Aircraft of 36° stormo, 156° gruppo based in Gioia del colle (BA). Flew into mountainside near Civitanova del Sannio, which is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Isernia in the Italian region Molise, located about 25 km northwest of Campobasso and about 15 km northeast of Isernia.

Neither crew memeber ejected, and both were killed on impact.
