Narrative:Feindflug (operational sortie). At around 00:45–01:00 hrs, elements of I./JG 301 were scrambled from Cambrai-Épinoy and Saint-Dizier on Wilde Sau operations against the RAF Bomber Command Homberg (Germany) raid.
Leutnant Max Kreil bailed out wounded when his Messerschmitt was damaged in aerial combat.
On December 5th, Lt. Kreil died in a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-9 while serving with 4./JG 301.
