Show down by night fighter pilot Leutnant Hans-Heinz Augenstein of the 7./NJG 1, flying a Bf 110 G-4 from Twente airfield.
Five of the crew are buried in Weerselo (Rossum) Roman Catholic Cemetery. F/O A Trott is buried at Reichswald Forest War Cemetery suggesting that he was either killed whilst attemping to bail out of the damaged aircraft or survived only to die later in a German hospital. Sgt C A Chambers, RNZAF, was the only survivor and became a PoW.
