El día lunes de 12 de febrero de 2007 a las 08:50 HLV (12:50 UTC), un helicóptero BELL RANGER 206, matricula GN-7957 perteneciente a la Guardia Nacional, con dos (02) personas abordo se precipito a tierra entre el sector "El Roble" a "Glorieta", Mcpio. "Los Guayos" en las coordenadas LATITUD 10º 09' 40'' NORTE/ 067º 54' 59'' OESTE a una milla náutica de la cabecera de pista del Aeropuerto Internacional "Arturo Michelena" (SVVA), estado Carabobo, Venezuela.
Fallecieron sus dos (02) ocupantes, identificados como: Tte. (GN) JHONATAN JOSUE ARENAS CASTILLO, C.I. Nº: V-13.084.245, F.N.: 13MAY78 y Tte. (GN) CARLOS LEANDRO GARCIA MANZANILLO, C.I. Nº: V-13.666.874, F.N.: 15AGO78, en la ORH lamentamos mucho la perdida de estos jóvenes oficiales colaboradores en las operaciones de búsqueda y rescate SAR.
