Narrative:Shortly after takeoff from Runway 28 at Minnedosa, MB on a local application flight, the pilot of the Air Tractor 401, C-GALQ, lost control and collided with the surface of a small pond on the departure end of the runway. The aircraft cartwheeled twice and came to rest upright in a field opposite the pond. The aircraft sustained substantial damage and the pilot suffered minor injuries. There was no information to suggest an aircraft malfunction. The hopper was loaded with approximately 300 gals of 'Bumper' fungicide. The wind conditions were reported as quite gusty.
