Narrative:The Canadian registered Aérospatiale AS 350-B2 helicopter had landed on an icy surface and throttled back to flight idle. When the pilot opened his door to check the location of the long line, his left knee inadvertently bumped the cyclic to the right and the tail of the helicopter moved to the left. The lower vertical fin contacted a metal bin in the staging area.
