Narrative:
Stalled too high on landing and U/C collapsed.

K9958 was number 172 built at the Eastleigh works and first flew 2nd May 1939. Allocated to 73 Squadron on the 8th of that month. This record is incorrect as 73 operated the Hawker Hurricane and only converted over to the Spitfire mark IX in 1943? Something happened to K9958 with whichever Squadron it flew with as it was sent to Westland for repairs on the 9th September 1940. She was then sent to N°64 Squadron 2nd October 1940. With the newer Mark's rolling off the production line she was relegated to training and 53OTU arriving on 16th July 194. Only two months later K5598 stalled during a heavy landing at height causing the u/c collapsed at Llandow 9th September 194. ASTE ltd at Exeter on 15th September 1941.
