Narrative:
WEstland Lysander Mk.II N1211 (RM-L) 26 Squadron, RAF: Written off (destroyed) when lost (failed to return) for combat operations over France. Both crew killed. According to the official Air Ministry file into the incident (File AIR 81/783): "Lysander NR1211 crashed in the vicinity of Ercourt, France, 5 June 1940. Temporary Sergeant R D K Cochrane and Pilot Officer D G Fevez: report of deaths"

Squadron ORB has this flight as an entry on 4th June 1940.

Took off from RAF Lympne, Kent for a Tactical Reconnaissance operation. Shot down by Hptman Müller (Staffelkapitän) of 4./JG3 south-west of Abbeville and crashed near Ercourt, 13 km south west of Abbeville. Both crew killed

Both crew fatalities were buried at Ercourt Churchyard, Somme, France. The reported crash location of Ercourt is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France, 13 km (10 miles) south west of Abbeville, at approximate Coordinates: 50°02′36″N 1°43′21″E
