Narrative:
A USMC Reserve KC-130T Hercules impacted a soybean field and burst into flames. All 16 on board were killed.
The aircraft originated from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., to transport personnel and equipment to Naval Air Field El Centro, California.
Eyewitnesses reported observing the aircraft spiraling down before it impacted the ground. Officials reported that the aircraft experienced an emergency at cruising altitude and left two debris fields a mile apart.
