Unfallbericht:
A Let L-410 aircraft crashed into Lake Yirol, South Sudan, close to the destination airport. It had departed Juba, South Sudan, and landed in Pibor before proceeding to Yirol. Weather at Yirol was poor, causing two previous flights to return. The pilot of the L-410 attempted an approach, but the altimeter was not set properly, causing it to display an incorrect altitude.
While manoeuvering for the approach in severe weather, the aircraft impacted the lake and broke up.
The investigation of the accident also revealed that that the operator did replace a faulty propeller in Pibor without informing the safety department of the changes.

The aircraft was owned by Slaver Company, Ukraine as of April, 2018. It had been overhauled in 2016-2017 after having been stored for eight years.
