Narrative:Republic F-84E-1-RE Thunderjet 49-2046, 308th FS, 31st FG, USAF: Written off (damaged beyond repair) April 26 1950 when crashed into the 2,415 foot (890 metres) Johnson Mountain, 15 Miles West of Pope AFB, Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. Incident reported as CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain). Pilot - Thomas J Morris USAF - was killed.
