Narrative:
The aircraft stopped off overnight on the 8th February 1980 at Tulsa Airport when on a repositioning flight from Forbes Airport, Topeka, Kansas to Del Rio Airport Texas, USA. When taking off the following day the aircraft suffered engine failure and the ferry pilot carried out a force landing ½ mile off the airfield, suffering minor injuries but causing substantial damage to the airframe.
