Narrative:Written off (destroyed) December 21, 1968 when crashed at Friendship, Maryland: aircraft was wrecked in a wheels-up landing at Friendship International Airport. The pilot - the sole person on board - was uninjured. According to the following excerpt from the official NTSB report into the accident:
"TYPE OF ACCIDENT - WHEELS UP
PHASE OF OPERATION - LANDING: LEVEL OFF/TOUCHDOWN
PROBABLE CAUSE(S)
PILOT IN COMMAND - FAILED TO ASSURE THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED"
