Narrative:
Written off (destroyed) February 27 1969 when stalled and crashed into the Gulf of Mexico on approach to Key West International Airport, Key West, Monroe County, Florida: the three persons on board (instructor, pilot under training and one passenger) were not injured. According to the following excerpt from the official NTSB report into the accident:

"PROBABLE CAUSE(S)
PILOT IN COMMAND - FAILED TO OBTAIN/MAINTAIN FLYING SPEED - IMPROPER OPERATION OF FLIGHT CONTROLS
FACTOR(S)
MISCELLANEOUS ACTS,CONDITIONS - AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN WATER
PRACTICE VOR APPROACH. STALLED FROM STEEP TURN MANEUVERING TO FINAL."
