Narrative:
Suffered engine failure on approach to Strubby, Lincs. The undercarriage colllapsed on landing due to insufficient hydraulic pressure to lower it fully.

Damaged initially assessed as Cat.4(repairable) and airframe removed to 54 MU RAF Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, for repairs. However, instead re-cat.5(G/I)and allocated for ground instructional use on 24/4/1957 as 7414M at RAF College, Strubby. Not taken up as such, and instead struck off charge 20/06/1957 at No.54 MU Hucknall and sold for scrap to R.J. Coley, Hounslow
