c/no.6465: Taken on charge by RAF as R5928 under Contract 21547/39 at 2 E&WS Yatesbury 24.10.39; renamed 2 Signal School 26.8.40. To 1 Signal School Cranwell 2.10.41. To DeHavilland Witney for repairs 7.7.42. To Abbotsinch Station Flight 11.10.42. To 1680 (Transport) Flight, Abbotsinch 15.6.43.

Written off 1.3.44, while on approach to Edinburgh in snow falls, crew made an emergency landing on the Carrick Knowe Golf course located in Corstorphine, Edinburgh, Lothian, less than 2 km from the runway threshold. Both crew members were unhurt while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. Struck off charge 2.3.44.
