Narrative:
The pilot applied full power for the take-off but was unable to get the aeroplane airborne (outside weight & balance limits), so abandoned the take-off and applied full braking. A runway excursion occurred.

Right hand main wheel brake fire. The pilot tried to extinguish with a fire extinguisher onboard the plane, but the fire kept reigniting.
Fire fighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire using dry powder.
