Narrative:
After experiencing engine problems in flight, the aircraft, a Piper PA-22-135 Tri-Pacer, N3431A force landed in a cornfield at 68th St. & C.R. 378, about 5 miles southeast of South Haven Area Regional Airport - KLWA, South Haven, Michigan, sustaining unknown damage.
The missing uninjured pilot was located by local authorities retrieving tools to repair the aircraft.
